Alpacas on the Beach
12th December 2010
This was a very special day. Several members of the Northland Cluster Group met up at Te Arai Point for their Xmas get together. Te Arai Point has a wonderful long sandy beach with views of the Hen and Chicken Islands and as far as Whangarei Heads. It is over 7km down a gravel road so not many people go there. The good thing is that no dogs are allowed so we could take our alpacas for a long and relaxing walk along the beach. Difficult to say who enjoyed it most, the alpacas or the humans.
Needless to say, we created a lot of interest among the people on the beach.
